Step into a winter-wonderland with a twist — because holiday cheer never looked so deliciously tipsy. Mistletoe & Margaritas invites you to an uproarious evening of cabaret, cocktails, and Christmas chaos. Expect beloved holiday tunes and plenty of festive mischief — delivered with the boozy spirit, comedic charm, and unpredictability that AUI is known for.
Whether you’re cozying up under the mistletoe or raising a margarita in toast, this is the grown-ups-only holiday party you didn’t know you needed. Grab your friends, loosen your anti-holiday inhibitions, and join us for a night full of laughter, libations, and seasonal cheer.
Acting Under the Influence combines theatre and drinking (two of our most favorite activities) in a fun and safe environment for performers and audience members alike. The actors are encouraged to drink by tips from the audience. AUI productions have included cabarets, full-length plays, and many other boozy theatrical shenanigans.

Every year, in the space between Christmas lights coming down and the ball about to drop, a dimly lit bar appears. Its visitors never remember how they arrived, only the night that followed.
The bar shows up in that weird week where time has no rules, the holidays are over, and the new year hasn’t started behaving yet. It’s the kind of week where if we make it to midnight feels less like a promise and more like the energy in the room. It lives in the headspace this time of year creates, where your thoughts wander without going anywhere.
Your three hosts for the evening (Brie Brie, Noelle, and Avani) move through the bar with an ease that suggests they’ve been here before (spoiler: they have, many times). They guide the evening through live music, big moments, small confessions, and whatever else decides to happen on the day before the very last day of the year. It’s a vibe, an in-between, and a very good way to end a year you barely survived. You won’t know how you got here, but you’ll know why you came.
If you’re seeing this invite, you were meant to be here.
Produced by nocolococreative, a scrappy performance collective co-captained by Erin North and Ben Cole. The company creates performance experiences that live somewhere between cabaret, concert, and “how did this get approved?” Recent Highlights include: The Craft: Live + Loud, F*CK ASS BOB, Summer Apocalypse, Motherlode: A Sims Musical, Unfunny Girl, and other projects fueled by bold performers and poor impulse control. Catch nocoloco creative every last Tuesday of the month in 2026 at Red Light Cafe!. Follow @nocolococreative.

The Wilder Flower
Madeline Dierauf and Molly Johnson have been building a sound together since meeting in 2021 at the Hagood Mill Fiddlers Convention, where they have each taken home multiple blue ribbons. Their musical chemistry developed easily during their first practice, and they've been refining their sound and show ever since.
The Wilder Flower blends Folk, Americana, Bluegrass, and Old-time influence into something new and fluid. They thrive vocally on three-part harmonies, whether a two-chord old-time ballad, or a modern, minor-filled melody, and instrumentally feature bluegrass banjo tunes, fiddle and clawhammer string-band songs, and everything in between. Their unique sound is centered around original songs and tunes that are thoughtfully arranged and adapted to showcase their tasteful instrumental sensibilities. They flex between genres and writers in each song, but there is something to their collective taste that speaks the same language, though switching dialects.
If you've been to a show, you know how lively they are on stage. With years of experience dating back to their early teenage years, they are natural performers. As a band they enjoy engaging with audiences, telling stories, and opening up about their songwriting and musical process. They create a meaningful shared experience with the audience at every show, and often leave people laughing. Their loyal audience members joke about returning again and again to their shows because the dialogue on stage is always unpredictable, and unmissable.
Calvert, Newberry & Smith
Leah Calvert (fiddle), Ian Newberry (guitar) & Michael Smith (mandolin) are three veterans of the Atlanta bluegrass music scene and masters of their respective instruments. Leah and Michael are both members of The Dappled Grays and their own group called Smith & Calvert. Ian performs with several bands in different genres and is well known for his work with Smokey's Farmland Band. The three of them bring a high level of professionalism to their art, and you will expect nothing but the best from them as they weave their path from Tony Rice to Allison Krauss and everything in between, including some originals.

Join us for the Atlanta Songwriters Club Meet Up at Red Light Café every second Monday of the month! $5 at the door, starts at 8pm, and you can sign up to play a song if you'd like when you get here.
The Atlanta Songwriters Club is a bit like an open mic with a few key differences. This group exists for songwriter's who would like to interact with other songwriters. It is similar to an open mic, but with the added benefit of discussion. You can come and play a song or just watch and listen. If you'd like to play, you will tell us all if you are interested in receiving feedback on the song or not. If you are interested then after you play we will all discuss what we like about the song, and any suggestions we might have as a group. If you'd rather not have any feedback on the song then you will simply play the song for us. There's no cash prize, competition, or politics. Just songwriting discussions and hopefully new friendships.
If you're a songwriter looking to connect with other songwriters and get some dialogue happening, this group is for you! A club like this allows us to get to know other local songwriters, and learn from one another.
