Join us for the Atlanta Songwriters Club Meet Up at Red Light Café every second Monday of the month! $5 at the door, starts at 8pm, and you can sign up to play a song if you'd like when you get here.
The Atlanta Songwriters Club is a bit like an open mic with a few key differences. This group exists for songwriter's who would like to interact with other songwriters. It is similar to an open mic, but with the added benefit of discussion. You can come and play a song or just watch and listen. If you'd like to play, you will tell us all if you are interested in receiving feedback on the song or not. If you are interested then after you play we will all discuss what we like about the song, and any suggestions we might have as a group. If you'd rather not have any feedback on the song then you will simply play the song for us. There's no cash prize, competition, or politics. Just songwriting discussions and hopefully new friendships.
If you're a songwriter looking to connect with other songwriters and get some dialogue happening, this group is for you! A club like this allows us to get to know other local songwriters, and learn from one another.

Atlanta's Loudest Stringband, Clawdad, takes the stage to celebrate the release of their new single "Off the Map"! Jeremiah Percival of "Suede Cassidy" kicks the show off with some groovy tunes.
With their high-energy performances and powerful sound, folk trio Clawdad is quickly earning their reputation as Atlanta's most original & charming stringband. Led by Grant Marshall on banjo and vocals, the trio also features virtuoso fiddle player Jonathan Park and driving bassist Sam Kempe. Together, they bring a fresh energy to traditional folk and bluegrass music, infusing it with modern sounds and catchy melodies.
Clawdad writes songs that run the full spectrum of emotion from heartache, drunken nights & the glory of their favorite snack - boiled peanuts. Whether performing upbeat barn-burners or soulful ballads, they always deliver a high-energy, foot-stomping performance that's sure to get audiences on their feet.
Clawdad has played all around the city of Atlanta at breweries, bars, concert halls, & even the occasional wedding. The band seems right at home playing alongside other folky acts, but have also been known to shine on the same bill as alternative & psychedelic rock bands. The group will be releasing their first EP in the spring of 2023, with plenty of original singles to follow.
Clawdad is quickly making a name for themselves in the Atlanta music scene, and they show no signs of slowing down. Don't miss your chance to see “Atlanta's Loudest Stringband” live and experience their powerful sound for yourself.
