Adam Klein + Renshaw Davies + Brian Revels

TUE JUN 21 8 PM
$6 Adv – $8 Door
Doors @ 7 PM

Eventbrite - Adam Klein + Renshaw Davies + Brian Revels

Adam Klein (8pm) is a singer/songwriter, troubadour, and world traveler playing Americana and rustic country folk music out of Athens, Georgia. With five albums under his belt, Klein now performs either solo, duo, or with his band, Adam Klein & The Wild Fires.

Renshaw Davies (9pm) is a new roots / folk duo based in New Orleans, Louisiana, comprised of John Renshaw (vocals, guitar) and Emily Davies (vocals, light percussion). They draw influences from the fused harmonies of Gillian Welch and David Rawlings, the desert air of Fleetwood Mac, Shovels and Rope’s sweet and wild abandon, Bob Dylan’s raw poetry, and the acerbic wit of Father John Misty.

Brian Revels (10pm) is probably most recognized as the brazen voice behind Atlanta, Georgia's, City Mouse, a bourbon-barreled version of an Avett Brother's rip-off (in the best possible way). If you know him, you might also tend to picture him holding a banjo. But, long before the birth of this rowdy string trio, he has been scribbling lyrics on scrap paper - restaurant order pads, receipts, check stubs - and picking a well-loved 6-string confidante.

Eventbrite - Max Hatt / Edda Glass

Max Hatt / Edda Glass features ethereal guitar, an unmistakeable voice, and the duo’s award-winning Jazz Americana compositions. “We want to write about a world both intimate and vast, about little people on great plains,” says Glass. “Plus sometimes we throw in a little Bossa Nova.” Their 2016 “Ocean of Birds Tour” kicks off with NPR Mountain Stage and takes them across the country and several genres, from the jazz clubs of Manhattan to Nashville’s record stores and New England’s folk fests. Based in Santa Fe, NM, the duo first hit the national stage at NYC’s Lincoln Center for the Performing Arts, where they won the 2014 Grand-Prize of the international Mountain Stage / NewSong Competition. Produced by Pat Sansone of Wilco & Autumn Defense, Ocean of Birds releases May 20th on NewSong Recordings, and is available for pre-order at PledgeMusic.

"Beautiful music that is subtly poignant, elegantly funky, and haunting without trying to be. Their songs are direct yet often take unexpected and colorful harmonic twists and turns, delighting the ear." – Nels Cline (Wilco, Nels Cline Singers)

“…like paintings or hand printed photographs that speak and sway. The material is hypnotic and comforting, because it is crafted with patience, wit and seasoned love." ~ Lizz Wright
