Red Light Running Society Liability & Media Release Waivers
To participate in RLC / RLRS events, please review and agree to the Liability Waiver and Media Release Waiver below.
Red Light Cafe / Red Light Running Society LIABILITY WAIVER
I agree that I am voluntarily engaging in activities with Red Light Cafe's Red Light Running Society ("RLC", “RLRS”), and I know that running in and volunteering for organized group runs with RLC / RLRS and its social events, runs, and races (collectively, “events”) are potentially hazardous activities which could cause injury or death. I will not participate in any RLC / RLRS events unless I am medically able and properly trained. By my agreement, I certify that I am in good health and medically able to perform and participate in all events.
I ASSUME ALL RISKS ASSOCIATED WITH ANY EVENT INCLUDING WITHOUT LIMITATION, FALLS; CONTACT WITH OTHER PARTICIPANTS; THE EFFECTS OF THE WEATHER, INCLUDING, WITHOUT LIMITATION, HAIL, HIGH HEAT AND/OR HUMIDITY; TRAFFIC; SIGNAGE OR LACK THEREOF; AND ROAD OR PATH CONDITIONS; AND ALL SUCH RISKS BEING KNOWN AND APPRECIATED BY ME. HAVING READ THIS WAIVER AND KNOWING THESE FACTS AND IN CONSIDERATION OF ATTENDING RLC / RLRS EVENTS I, FOR MYSELF AND ANYONE ENTITLED TO ACT ON MY BEHALF, WAIVE AND RELEASE RLC / RLRS AND ITS DIRECTORS, OFFICERS, SUB-CONTRACTORS, VOLUNTEERS, EMPLOYEES, AGENTS, MARKETERS, CLUB MEMBERS, DESIGNEES, SPONSORS AND THEIR REPRESENTATIVES AND SUCCESSORS FROM ALL CLAIMS, ACTIONS, DAMAGES, COSTS, EXPENSES, OR LIABILITIES OF ANY KIND ARISING OUT OF MY PARTICIPATION WITH RLC / RLRS, EVEN THOUGH THAT LIABILITY MAY ARISE OUT OF NEGLIGENCE OR CARELESSNESS ON THE PART OF RLC / RLRS AND THE ENTITIES OR PERSONS NAMED IN THIS WAIVER.
This liability waiver shall be governed and construed in accordance with the laws of the state of Georgia.
Red Light Cafe / Red Light Running Society MEDIA RELEASE WAIVER
I further grant Red Light Cafe / Red Light Running Society ("RLC", "RLRS") non-revocable permission to capture my image and likeness in photographs, videotapes, motion pictures, recordings, or any other media (collectively “images”). I acknowledge that RLC / RLRS will own such images and further grant RLC / RLRS permission to copyright, display, publish, distribute, use, modify, print and reprint such images in any manner whatsoever related to RLC / RLRS, and/or RLC / RLRS business, including without limitation, social media, marketing platforms, publications, promotions, advertisements, brochures, website images, or other electronic displays and transmissions thereof. I further waive any right to inspect or approve the use of the image by RLC / RLRS prior to its use, and additionally waive any right to any profit RLC / RLRS may obtain from the use of the aforementioned images. I forever release and hold RLC / RLRS harmless from any and all liability arising out of the use of the images in any manner or media whatsoever, and waive any and all claims and causes of action relating to use of the images, including without limitation, claims for invasion of privacy rights or publicity.
