Lindsay Rakers has been making up songs and singing them to anyone who'd listen since she was a toddler, but now she's touching deeper subjects than her runaway cat (who never came back). She began fronting bands at the age of 17, when she started playing dive bars with her First Little High School Band in Pittsburgh, PA. Since moving to Atlanta, she has become quite at home with the music scene. The members of Lindsay's band just love to play, and it shows in their energetic live performance.

Cold Heart Canyon is a bluegrass/pop playin' group of buds (well, a duo for tonight's show!). Instrument swapping, foot stomping, swear wordin' sons of guns.
Performing across the Southeast since 2006, Katie Martin's unique blend of blues, folk, and soul mesmerizes audiences in a way that has to be seen to understand. Her agelessly soulful vocals soar effortlessly above a rich propulsion of acoustic blues guitar reminiscent of Muddy Waters combined with the beautiful folk guitar of James Taylor, all performed with the honest intensity of Jimi Hendrix and Janis Joplin. Seeing Katie Martin perform is an experience like no other, and her refreshing individuality is one that leaves a lasting impression long after the stage has grown silent. Her debut album "Memories" is currently underway at Haney Records, and is set for release in the Spring of 2012.
"Working with Katie Martin is an absolute pleasure. Her natural instincts and honest delivery make for some of the most heartfelt tracks I've had the privilege of recording. The most amazing part to me is that she sings so well that she needs no pitch correction or editing. And, as many singers and producers alike know fully well, this is a very rare trait these days. Needless to say, she is an absolute force of nature both on the stage and in the studio, and I'm honored to be a part of her journey." — Chris Haney, Haney Records
