The Captain Midnight Band plays "Waterbed Rock & Roll", a unique hybrid of Classic Rock, Jam, R&B, and blue poetry.
The Captain Midnight Band creates "Water Bed Rock & Roll" for the mind, booty, and soul. Crunchy Rock Guitar, Soaring Vocal Harmonies, and thick R&B grooves create a sonic landscape for the band's suggestive, Sci-Fi imagery and improvisational interplay.
Formed in New Orleans in 2003, The Captain Midnight Band stays true to the Crescent City's celebratory heritage, turning every show into a sweating, throbbing event, interspersed with humor, eroticism, and epic jams.
Flattering comparisons to genre-defying acts such as P-Funk, Frank Zappa, and Ween are evident in the relationship between band and audience. Striking visuals and an ever-changing set list keep fans coming back for more.
Midnight's style has infiltrated a variety of musical realms. Bob Weir, Merl Saunders, Dumpstaphunk, Galactic, Cornmeal, Sharon Jones & The Dap Kings, Cypress Hill, Jimmy Herring Band, Dark Star Orchestra, Emmitt-Nershi Band, New Mastersounds, and The 2 Live Crew are just a few musical entities Midnight has either shared the stage or bills with.
Major influences include The Grateful Dead, Steely Dan, Funkadelic, George Lucas, KISS, Boz Scaggs, Little Feat, Joe Walsh, Frank Zappa, Joni Mitchell, Todd Rundgren, and Richard Pryor.

Jeff Campbell’s onstage experiences have taken him to coast to coast countless times and have found him have found him sharing the stage with John Mayer, members of Counting Crows, Phil Lesh of the Grateful Dead, opening for multiplatinum selling, multi-Grammy-winning band Train and performing on the Jimmy Kimmel Live show.
Selected as the winner of Guitar Center's National Singer Songwriter 2 Competition out of over 13,000 entrants in 2013, Jeff Campbell released In Spite of Everything, a 5 song EP produced by six time Grammy Winning Producer John Shanks, later that year. The EP debuted at #1 on the iTunes Rock EPs and Singles Charts.
On the In Spite of Everything EP, Michael Canter of Jivewired.com said, "...not since Elliot Smith have I heard similar music sound this accomplished. His wistful and soulful vocals make this album immediate and relevant". Chuck Dauphin of Music News Nashville said Jeff's 2012 release Stop and Go is "...an album that will leave you wanting more".
A Philadelphia native, Campbell moved to San Francisco in 2005 specifically for the newer Rock scene he had heard was developing. After a few years of trying to balance learning the West Coast Music Scene with his day job, the job was cast aside in favor of full time touring, writing and recording for a living.
Jeff and band have been touring the US to support these his releases since the fall of 2010. They will continue to do so throughout 2015 and beyond and will not stop until his piece of history is defined.
