The Moonlighters Jazz Band is a septet whose superb instrumentation combines with heartfelt vocals to ensure memorable performances of jazz standards from the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s (bossa nova, up-tempo, swing, ballads) as well as jazz instrumentals and vocals of contemporary artists.

The Moonlighters Jazz Band is a seven-piece band whose superb instrumentation combines with heartfelt vocals to ensure memorable performances. Among the impressive credentials of some of the Moonlighters are gigs with internationally renowned performers, including Natalie Cole, Nancy Wilson and Johnny Mathis.
The band plays a combination of jazz standards from the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s (bossa nova, up-tempo, swing, ballads) as well as jazz instrumentals and vocals of contemporary artists.
The Moonlighters have been performing throughout Atlanta since the mid 1990’s at festivals, clubs, weddings, conferences and benefits. Since 2008 they have performed regularly at Red Light Café, one of Atlanta’s favorite live music haunts.

Born and raised in Atlanta, Georgia, jazz saxophonist Scott Draffin has been receiving attention and acclaim for his distinctive compositions and exciting performances. A versatile saxophonist, Scott has performed with jazz combos, big bands, rock bands, salsa groups, saxophone quartets, pit orchestras, wind ensembles, and as a soloist. The variety of his firsthand performing experience is infused in Scott’s compositions, which exhibit the same diversity. His debut album “Somewhere Down the Road,” featuring Atlanta mainstays Nick Rosen, Billy Thornton, Justin Varnes, and Mace Hibbard, is available now.
