Join us for an evening of jazz with The Moonlighters Jazz Band, a septet whose superb instrumentation combines with heartfelt vocals to ensure memorable performances of jazz standards from the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s (bossa nova, up-tempo, swing, ballads) as well as jazz instrumentals and vocals of contemporary artists.
Rick Harris is the vocalist and front man for Little Big Band Atlanta, a ten piece jazz ensemble that plays his own compositions and arrangements of the Great American Songbook in a variety of styles, including swing, samba, ballad, funk, bebop, mambo, and cha cha cha.
The Moonlighters take the stage at 8pm before Rick Harris and the "Little" Big Band Atlanta at 10pm with an interim short set by Rock N' Rollins!

The Moonlighters Jazz Band is a seven-piece band whose superb instrumentation combines with heartfelt vocals to ensure memorable performances. Among the impressive credentials of some of the Moonlighters are gigs with internationally renowned performers, including Natalie Cole, Nancy Wilson and Johnny Mathis.
The band plays a combination of jazz standards from the 30’s, 40’s and 50’s (bossa nova, up-tempo, swing, ballads) as well as jazz instrumentals and vocals of contemporary artists.
The Moonlighters have been performing throughout Atlanta since the mid 1990’s at festivals, clubs, weddings, conferences and benefits. Since 2008 they have performed regularly at Red Light Café, one of Atlanta’s favorite live music haunts.

Rick Harris is known widely for being the “Madman” who created the acclaimed vocal quartet, Mad Romance. Their latest CD, “Aim High” receives international airplay. An award-winning vocalist and arranger, Rick is also a multi-instrumentalist who plays most notably, piano and trumpet. He has led groups and has been featured at the Monterey and the North Sea Jazz Festivals, the Kennedy Center, Blues Alley in Washington DC, and the Blue Note in New York City. He has performed with Jon Faddis, Roy Hargrove, Bucky Pizzarelli, Al Grey, Gene Harris, Louie Bellson, Pam Bricker, and Eva Cassidy. Locally, he hosts two monthly events - the Dahlonega Jazz Jam at Don Pollo, and Boomers Gone Wild at the Crimson Moon. His music studio is in the Carriage House Shoppes in Dahlonega.
