Atlanta's own The Acorns are a high-energy folk rock band (that's Punk Folk to y'all). Following up their debut album, Lee Maddox Grocery, their new album In Hell was just released in March 2013. If you're down with Johnny Cash, Bright Eyes, Ben Folds, Butch Walker, or Ben Kweller, then you're down with The Acorns.
Oh, Jeremiah is the musical cocktail of the musings and tall tales of singer / songwriter Jeremiah Stricklin. Each of his songs is filled with the distinct characteristics of the Deep Southern culture that he’s called home for so long. Following the cues from great songwriters like Josh Ritter, Shovels and Rope, Ryan Adams, and countless others, Stricklin’s music can best be described as Americana with elements of whimsy and gentle seriousness pursued through the exploration of rich instrumentation. His new EP, Tall Tales & Tiny Fables, was released April 13th.
