Join us Saturday, April 11th at Red Light Cafe for a tribute to the music of Joni Mitchell. The evening will span three decades of her music — from the intimate songwriting of Clouds, through her jazz period, to the modern sophistication of Taming the Tiger. Joni’s collaboration with Mingus, Pastorius, Wayne Shorter, and Pat Metheny embeds a rich jazz fusion into many of her works. These new arrangements lean into that spirit, with a strong jazz influence throughout. Featuring Mary Katherineon vocals, Randy Hoexter on piano, Ramon Pooser on bass, Vinny D’Agostino on saxophone, and Rick Wilkerson on drums, this ensemble brings fresh energy to some of Joni’s most compelling work.
