Smokey’s Farmland Band headlines an evening of Americana, bluegrass, and all around rootsy mountain music with Rae Fitzgerald and Sweet Auburn String Band.
Smokey's Farmland Band blends musical influences ranging from bluegrass to gypsy jazz to Cajun, creating a progressive sound they like to call "Goodtime Eclectic Bluegrass". While they enjoy venturing outside the realm of the traditional, they still respect the roots of bluegrass, and retain the energy and twang of mountain music. A typical set features original tunes, good ol' pickin numbers, and some unexpected covers too. It all comes together in an exciting genre-bending style that keeps listeners on their toes, and on the dance floor!
Among many accomplishments, SFB has opened for Willie Nelson at a sold out House Of Blues New Orleans, Sam Bush at the Variety Playhouse in Atlanta, and recently shared the bill for Del Yeah! with The Del McCoury Band and others. They have also opened for the Emmitt-Nershi Band and The Freight Hoppers, and shared the stage with numerous Atlanta and touring bluegrass bands. The band has traveled to Colorado, DC, NYC, and even St. Croix for performances, winning new fans at stops along the way. Their music is dedicated to the festival experience, camping and dancing in community, out of the way places that retain their beauty, live performance, and people who appreciate getting back to the farm from time to time.

Rae Fitzgerald is a singer / songwriter based in Columbia, Missouri. She is most known for her sultry voice and complex, emotionally-intricate lyrics, often tied to minimalistic melodies. In genre, her songs range from rootsy americana anthems to sleek indie rock — a variance largely attributed to contributing musicians. Rae's musical mainstays include Josh Chittum, Ian Vardell, Lucas Oswald and Wil Reeves, all excellent and accomplished musicians in their own right. Live performances most certainly contain Chittum's charming melodica, Vardell's agile and polished lead riffs and Fitzgerald's acoustic guitar and soulful voice, forming a warm, often gypsy-esque trio.
Fitzgerald has released two full-length albums — Of War & Water in 2011, and Quitting the Machine in 2013. She's currently planning on a series of extensive tours in early 2014, followed by the release of a third full-length in the summer.
Sweet Auburn String Band is a rowdy 4-piece band specializing in bluegrass, folk, mountain music, blues and the occasional funk banjo shanty. Members are Ian Hennessee playing banjo and guitar, Zachary Hennessee sitting on the cajon and generally rocking on percussion, Dan Williams on guitar, and Will B Ruff on mandolin and slide guitar.
