Travel back in time as you revisit school days of yore – boogie down to live music from the funkalicious and soulful Jonathan Lloyd MashUp and a surprise guest as you sip school-themed drinks, find your “sweet” rewards in our “can you make the grade” games, and dabble in the arts. And, yes, there will be a “yearbook” photo booth to immortalize the historic antics of the evening. All of the proceeds of this “school house bash,” sponsored by Acceptance Capital, will be donated to Ambassadors for Change’s school building project in South Sudan.
Ambassadors for Change would like to give a full-fledged shout-out to Jonathan Lloyd for dedicating his time and talent to ReWind: MashUp, a concert designed as the kick-off to Ambassadors for Change’s “Breaking New Ground” campaign, a project designed to raise the funds for AFC’s school building efforts in South Sudan. Jonathan Lloyd, the perfect example of “art as change,” is gathering a mashup of Atlanta’s most talented musicians to perform at this momentous event.
About Ambassadors for Change
Ambassadors for Change, founded by Nathaniel Nyok, a native of South Sudan and former Lost Boy of Sudan, was established with the sole purpose of building and supporting a high school in Bor, Jonglei State, South Sudan, Nyok’s native village. Nyok firmly believes that education serves as the seed of hope for South Sudan, the world’s newest country, as education will help to convert warriors into peacemakers, create a monolithic identity, improve lives, and promote a culture of peace. The mission of Ambassadors of Change, a 501c3 non-profit charitable education organization, is “to provide accessible education to the citizens of South Sudan regardless of race, gender, religion, or cultural belief.”
