Red Light Running Society aims to bring folx together to build and maintain happy, healthy and active lives. ALL FITNESS LEVELS ARE WELCOME - walkers, joggers, runners, etc. Even if you're not able to participate, please join us for espresso (or stronger drinks), treats, music, and nerdy conversations afterwards at RLC!
Here's the breakdown:
11am: Doors open at RLC. Have a coffee, change clothes / shoes, etc. Do some stretching and strengthening with Meredith / The Chameleon! (bring a yoga mat; we’ll have a few extra on hand just in case).
Noon: Doors close at RLC and everyone heads to the Piedmont Park and/or the Atlanta Beltline! Running, jogging, walking – in groups or solo – whatever works for you. I (Michael, RLC co-owner with my wife Ellen) will likely do a slow 11 minutes-per-mile-ish so I'm able to hold a conversation. 🫠🫠🫠 I'll also bring my phone for photo ops of y’all pretty people doing pretty things at pretty places together (and in case of any emergencies).
1pm (or a bit later if we're trying for a long run): Doors re-open at RLC. "Recovery" drinks, coffee (Irish?), snacks, music – just hang out and relax.
NOTE: This is not a "park run" park run. If you're looking for one of those, try the Northside Beltline Parkrun (Saturdays at 9am).
Doors @ 11am »» Park / Beltline @ Noon »» Back to RLC @ 1pm
Registering is not required to participate (but, it helps us plan things a bit better)!!!
