My Dixie Wrecked’s homegrown Georgia bluegrass brings a punk twist to RLC Bluegrass Thursday. Open jam at 6pm, show starts at 8pm.
In late 2010, My Dixie Wrecked became an idea, a brainstorm. After about a year and a half of talk and jokes and after seeing the one man band Phillip Roebuck the two had their first practice. The band started with Chris Adams (Banjo) and Anthony Brewer (Drummer). The two jammed and wrote a few songs before trashing all material and adding member Alex Bradshaw (Guitar, Fiddle, Mandolin). Chris and Alex got together and started writing at Alex Tate's house. Having interest in the band, Alex Tate ask if he could write some poems to their songs. The three polished up a few songs which Chris and Alex Bradshaw liked the sound and writing style of Alex Tate, so the two welcomed Alex Tate into the band. With powers combined My Dixie Wrecked was officially a band and are constantly writing and cranking out tasty, dirty south originals.
