Meghan Creates is the moniker for Meghan Quinn-Simmons, a lady on her 4th last name although this is the least interesting thing about her. While the last names have changed a few times, her first name has stayed consistent, as has her indefatigable desire to create and make art, and (for a reason she has yet to understand) spill her proverbial guts out on stage, ergo? - Creates. Her music is diverse and complex, her influences woven through from across the timeless musical spectrum. Sondheim to Springsteen, Billy Joel to Billie Holliday, Joan Jett to Karen Carpenter, it’s all in there. Meghan devises musical genius through robust melodies and deep, soulful themes that draw listeners in closer with warmth and curiosity to feel comfort, to hear clarity, to hear her own story in what can only be called an unforgettable journey through pop, folk, jazz, and musical/operatic themes.
