Red Light Café is Atlanta's premiere listening room for Americana, Bluegrass, Country & Western, Folk, Blues, Jazz, Roots Rock, and everything in between — including some of the best Comedy Shows and Burlesque in the Southeast! Located on the east side of Piedmont Park in Midtown Atlanta's Amsterdam Walk, Red Light Café is a cozy live entertainment and music venue with tables and seating for over 100 folks to enjoy an intimate show with a full bar and kitchen for drinks, appetizers and entrées.

Allllll abooooard! The Mason Dixie Burlesque "Love Train" Tour is rolling into Atlanta, Tuesday, February 17th! "The Hottest Vixens From Both Sides of the Mason Dixon," Hazel Honeysuckle, Üla Überbusen and Deanna Danger are bringing their brand of sass, class and a$$ to the Red Light Café, with special guest star, Sadie Hawkins!

The Mason Dixie Burlesque Show is a good ol' fashioned American burlesque variety show with live music, singing, vaudeville, comedy, group performances, games, shenanigans and oh so much more! Don't be left at the station and cho-cho-choose to jump on the glittery tracks of the T&A railroad with the Mason Dixie Burlesque Tour!

Deanna Danger (Richmon, VA) is an international performance artist skilled in many genres, based in Richmond, VA and is known as “The Warrior of Burlesque.” Her sometimes dangerous, always crowd-pleasing performances have graced stages from her home and across the US & Canada from New York, Toronto, Chicago, St. Louis, New Orleans, Miami, Philadelphia, Baltimore, Washington D.C., Tennessee, and Georgia. She is the 2012 Crystal Corset Award Winner of the Pennsylvania Burlesque Festival and she is the reigning voted #1 Best Burlesque Performer in Style Weekly's annual "Best of Richmond" poll.

Deanna has performed in the 2010 New York Burlesque Festival, the 2013 & 2014 Show Me Burlesque Festival in St. Louis, and made her International debut in the 2014 Toronto Burlesque Festival. In 2012 she appeared in and taught at five different festivals in the US: the Southern Fried Burlesque Festival, Carolina Burlesque Festival, Asheville Burlesque Festival, Windy City Burlesque Festival in Chicago, and Pennsylvania Burlesque Festival. In 2012, she produced Byrlesque At The Byrd, the first and only official burlesque show held in the Richmond historic landmark Byrd Theatre. In 2013 her large-scale show series expanded to include the historic Jefferson Theater in Charlottesville, VA, and continues twice annually at these two historic Virginia Theaters!

Deanna has also been a dance, theater and burlesque instructor since January, 2010. Her studio Boom Boom Basics Burlesque & Performing Arts Studio is Virginia’s premier and only full service burlesque institution, with weekly classes in Richmond, as well as weekend workshops in many East Coast States. Deanna is also an aerialist & go-go dancer and has appeared at Trash in NYC, as well as at Richmond's Rvalution, and is a resident cage dancer at the Richmond goth/industrial/fetish club Fallout. She is also a core member of Richmond’s only professional go-go troupe, the Deviant Dollz.

Deanna Danger is also an accomplished model, actress, seamstress, makeup artist, and graphic designer. Aside from producing shows & teaching around Richmond, DC, and the east coast region, Deanna is also the producer of national touring troupe, The Mason Dixie Burlesque Tour, one-half of the performance art duo Name Of The Rose, was the Headmistress of the Dr. Sketchy's Anti-Art School, Richmond VA Branch from 2010-2014 and is entirely overworked...and loving every minute of it.

Hazel Honeysuckle (New York City, NY) has been playing dress-up all her life, and lives to showcase both her love of classic burlesque as well as being a crazy, stupid nerd. She performs on stages all over NYC, at the Borgata in Atlantic City, and sound the world. She annually tours the American South with the Mason Dixie Burlesque Tour, and recently returned from a European tour. Catch her cameos as Echo on the Netflix series “House of Cards” and the second season of “Orange is the New Black.” She was crowned “Princess of Southern Exposure” at the Great Southern Exposure Pageant in Charlotte, NC. This “Delicate Flower” is one you don’t want to miss!

Üla Überbusen — February 17, 2015 — Red Light Café, Atlanta, GA

Üla Überbusen (New York City, NY) is an award winning burlesque performer, emcee, ukulele strummer, teacher and professional actress based in NYC. Üla holds a BFA in Acting from the University of Miami and studied with the Shakespeare Theater Company and the NY School of Burlesque. She produces Tainted Cabaret at The Slipper Room, Victrola Burlesque, and the Mason Dixie Burlesque Tour. 

She was an original member of the innovative neo-burlesque and vaudeville troupe, Salomé Cabaret in Knoxville, TN and has performed in the New England Neo-Burlesque Festival, Americana Burlesque and Sideshow Festival, Southern Fried Burlesque Festival, Show-Me Burlesque Festival, Virginia Burlesque and Sideshow Festival and was featured as an emcee, performer and teacher at the 2nd Annual Purrrlesque Follies in NC. Üla recently shot a featured roll in the burlesque inspired film “The Cruel Tale of The Medicine Man” by Richard Lovejoy and James Habaker (The Slipper Room), which also features Julie Atlas Muz, Bunny Luv and Mat Fraser. She has performed as a guest with the Dangerous Curves Ahead Tour and the Party Show Tour with Trixie Little and the Evil Hate Monkey.

Sadie Hawkins is Atlanta’s gravity-defying fireball. A burlesque aerialist and fire performance artist, her acts are charged with a sensuality and a sense of humor whether she’s in the air, on stage or afire.

Since her debut in 2004, Sadie has been entertaining audiences both solo and with troupes counted among the best of Atlanta. Currently an independent performer, Sadie travels extensively as a featured performer at corporate events, festivals and local productions, and she was headliner of the inaugural Virginia Burlesque & Sideshow Festival in 2013.

Sadie Hawkins has been working with Hot Toddies Cabaret since 2009, and as well as collaborating with Flight of Swallows, an improv music and aerial performance group she co-founded with cellist Deisha Oliver in 2010. Previously, Sadie co-founded Blast-Off Burlesque, performing and producing with the group from 2006-2012. Known for quirky, performance art-style acts, Blast-Off Burlesque was voted Best Burlesque Troupe in Creative Loafing’s annual Best of Atlanta survey 2009 through 2012 and in 2010, Atlanta Magazine named the group Atlanta’s Best Burlesque troupe. Sadie Hawkins began her relationship with burlesque as part of Doll Squad Burlesque Revue in 2004.

Sadie is best known for performing and teaching lyra (aerial hoop). In addition to lyra, she regularly works with fire and a variety of aerial apparatus including aerial net, silk sling, aerial rope, still rings, trapeze, chains, and a variety of improvised apparatus.
