Join us for a night of Songwriters in the Round at Red Light Café, featuring Kenny Johnson, Anthony Crane and Jeannie Caryn.
Kenny Johnson has a passion for the craft of songwriting which compelled him to take a look at the songwriting Mecca of Nashville – one of the largest communities of active songwriters. Performing at writers’ nights developed his expression of the song in its purest form, and collaborating with seasoned writers like Jill Colucci and Randy Sharp distended his toolbox of lyrical and melodic devices. His forthcoming EP illustrates the grit and grandeur of his musical foundation, and behind it comes the weight of a long and diverse musical journey.
Instead of cobbling together our own snappy bio for Anthony Crane (of the band Crane), we'll let Barb Fera – CEO & President, Musicincider – do the talking for us:
"Anthony is a blues-baked singer / songwriter born and bred from that red Georgia clay. He has a smokey, whiskey-soaked voice that will reach down the back of your throat and grab your f---ing spine. He has an onstage presence that will make you believe he should have been in Midnight Of the Garden of Good and Evil. All by himself, Anthony Crane is a good time…"
Jeannie Caryn is a singer / songwriter, artist, and freelance writer / photographer. Her thoughtful original pieces, seasoned with folksy covers, are a testament to her goal of always communicating effectively with people through writing, music and art.
