Katharine Cole is an award-winning singer / songwriter with deep roots in both traditional country and rock. She has released nine albums over her career on major and independent labels and achieved recognition from major media for her intensely personal live shows and powerful vocal style.
Katharine has toured the US and Europe, appeared on major stages including the Great American Music Hall and Slims in San Francisco, the Roxy and Whiskey in Los Angeles, the Bluebird Cafe and Tootsies in Nashville, and The Knitting Factory & CBGBs in New York, the Michigan Women’s Festival, SXSW in Austin, NXNW in Canada…and more.
She has opened for Hootie & The Blowfish, Aaron Tippen, Cake, Train, Third Eye Blind, Elliott Smith, Victoria Williams, Southern Culture on the Skids, Vienna Teng, Matt Nathanson, Wanda Jackson, Red Molly and Amanda Marshall, as well as headlined at several reputable venues and festivals all around the country.
Katharine received the OutMusic Award for best female artist of 2005, she was inducted into the Traditional Music Hall of Fame in 2007, and has received Certificates of Recognition from the California Legislative Assembly for her contribution to the arts and charity work. She currently resides in Atlanta, Georgia and hosts the popular Americana radio show “The Sonic Blender” on KZYX.org out of Mendocino County, California, USA.
