Formed in 1998, Grand Marquis has since become solidly rooted in the Kansas City music scene as one of the hardest-working bands in the region, playing over 100 shows per year! The group has performed from coast to coast, released 8 albums, including a 7" 45 rpm vinyl record/CD combo recorded at the legendary Sun Studio in Memphis, TN. With their own versatile and thoroughly entertaining brand of American Roots, Blues and Prohibition-Era Jazz, the Grand Marquis are consistently finding themselves in high demand.
Two-time Grammy award winning Singer/Trombonist Saunders Sermons is a world traveled, highly sought out artist who has toured with the greatest in the music industry. Acts including, Maxwell, Roy Hargrove and Tedeschi Truck Band. Sermons stepped out as a solo artist in 2009 with his EP entitled “Classic Delight,” which is a fusion of Jazz & R&B, reminiscent in sound to the likings of Stevie Wonder and Nat King Cole. Eight years later Sermons released his eclectic body of music with his 2018 EP release of “The Timeless Wanderer” which blended Funk, Jazz, and Alternative music which sends you on a fluid musical journey.
