The love for the art connects us all
La Rhina was a resident of Atlanta for 16 years. However, after 8 years of back and forth to Spain, she has decided to relocate to Seville to continue her path as a flamenco dancer over a year ago. Previously she has taught and performed in Atlanta area and other parts of the U.S. for 10 years. She now continues to give classes and workshops and performs in the U.S., Japan, and Spain.
Javier Heredia (invited artist/collaboration) is an internationally recognized singer/dancer. He has performed with numerous notable artists such as Manuela Carrasco and continues to appear in important flamenco festivals, tablaos, theaters and fiestas throughout Spain and other major cities in Europe, Japan and the U.S. He also teaches classes in Seville.
John Lawrence is a flamenco guitarist based in New Orleans. He is active as a soloist but also has a popular flamenco group in New Orleans called "Ven pa'ca". He has performed in various venues including New Orleans Jazz Festival presenting flamenco.
La Rhina, Javier and John have been good friends for many years sharing the art of flamenco and deepening their friendship. La Rhina and Javier are arriving from Seville two days before the show, and John will drive up from New Orleans a day before. This night, the audience will witness how three artists/friends get together and strike up the "conversation" through dance and song in authentic flamenco way... improvisation. ¡Vamos alla!
