The female half of quirky, YouTube-loving indie pop duo Pomplamoose, singer / songwriter and multi-instrumentalist Nataly Dawn released her first collection of solo material, Her Earlier Stuff, in 2009. In 2011, she started a Kickstarter campaign to raise funds for a new album and met her goal in just three days. The resulting How I Knew Her – a heady blend of Regina Spektor and Rufus Wainwright-inspired chamber rock, blues, folk, jazz, and pop noir – arrived in early 2013.
Fresh off her tour with Ben Folds Five, and performing in Atlanta for the first time as a solo artist, Nataly Dawn brings her infectious, folky Americana sound to Red Light Café in celebration of her debut album's release.
Lauren O'Connell opens the show, performing her rootsy, indie-folk music with a voice that can only be described as an angelic child singing with bluegrass inflections, and a hint of whiskey at the back of the throat.
