If Whiskeytown was married to Son Volt but got pregnant by Gram Parsons, you'd have a Boxcar Radio. Don't miss 'em at 8pm after our weekly 6pm open bluegrass jam.

Boxcar Radio is an exciting new collaborative of musicians from Atlanta's booming Americana scene. Take 2 shots of Whiskeytown and mix with Son Volt and you'll get the vibe of Boxcar Radio. Fronted by the understated and humble talent that is lead singer Rodney Bond, (formerly of Room Full of Circles and The Cosmic West) His songs seem to yearn for the lost ghost of Americana icon Gram Parsons. Behind him lurks a sturdy rhythm section with Jeff Hall (Radiant City, Cosmic West) on bass. Spencer Brown (from Tulsa's The Bismarks and Cats In Hat) on drums and Mark Evers (Lindsay Rakers band, and 16 Acres) on lead guitar fill out the band. If you're lucky enough, you'll catch a performance with the secret 6th weapon Ms Jenna Mobley (Sailing to Denver) on the fiddle. In summation, a kind hearted talented group of folks that make beautiful music together. Yes, as we like to say "we are straight up Bonafide!"
