Having made a name for himself in the Tampa Bay area, Booth Jewett returns to Atlanta's Red Light Café to celebrate the release of his new EP, Just Plant The Seed (available now!). Jewett's EP follows in the footsteps of his debut album, Do Not Be Afraid, which was described by CD Baby as having "…a little bit of everything, ranging from million-part vocal harmonies to brass music to old rickety piano licks, [with] thought provoking, beautiful, well written lyrics." And the Tampa Bay Times describes Jewett's style as a "rootsy, shuffling alt-country that sounds more like Ray LaMontagne, Iron and Wine or The Band than any Christian pop artist. But he knows where his heart lies."
Jack Carter – from the Greensboro, NC based band, Jack Carter & The Armory – kicks the night off at 7pm, followed by Atlanta's own Tova Rinah with her unique, folksy blend of country and indie rock.
