Book of Colors makes dreamy, hypnotic music which constantly skirts the edge between torn-open soulfulness and delicate restraint. The songs are constructed and arranged meticulously, but the focus remains centered around Andre Paraguassu's dynamic vocals and the poetry of the lyrics. Started in January 2009, the band has gone through many lineups since then, but our proverbial cup has always runeth over with the best and the brightest, and it’s never been better than right now. We’ve been recording an epic first album for more than four years now, and it’s finally almost done. It’s getting very close for real this time though, and I’m hoping for an early 2014 release date (to be announced).
/smoke signals\ is a new band starring David Marshall Railey: Atlanta mainstay, fixture, and staple. Their songs are dark, pretty, and sexy for the modern heart. Their new release entitled 22 is an EP set for June on We Never Have Any Fun records.
Sias, the lead songwriter for the band Starfighter was hanging out with his buddy Frady and they were laughing about some of the ridiculous songs from the 80's like Billy Idol's Flesh for fantasy and Corey Hart's I wear my sunglasses at night. They thought it would be fun to cover some of these songs. Sias exclaimed "We got this. I have a Loop Pedal!". Frady said "Woot Woot!". Expect to see things that can't be unseen and hear things that can't be unheard and maybe an appearance from their pal Kennedy, AKA Loop Pedal.
