Octave was founded in 1996, when Ames Morton-Winter, Emily Miller and Bea Wallace were singing in a mixed a cappella singing group called Free Range Cattle and decided to create a women's group. After a round of auditions, Octave was born.
Since then Octave has grown and changed with its membership, and each new addition has added something amazing to the group.
Our members are teachers, writers, executives, pharmacists, athletes, dancers, grammar geeks, attorneys, and moms — all brought together for great music, great friendships and great fun.
