Anthony Aparo is a young singer/songwriter born and raised in south Georgia. He grew up in a musical home, learning and playing any instrument he could get his hands on. Since 2010, he has been writing and performing, putting out records and EP’s online. He is currently endeavoring on a new musical journey, incorporating intriguing and unusual organic and mechanic instruments into his traditional-folk-songwriter style. He plans on putting out an EP and possibly a full length within the next year.
Futo was created in March of 2012, the brainchild of Patrick Brick, its sole writer and musician. Originally producing folk songs, Brick sought to expand on his themes as well as his music, adopting finessed elements of electro-pop music in some songs, and with liberality in others. As Brick’s music progressed, it formed into an ensemble of one guitar, two keyboards, a drum machine, and a laptop, all played and controlled by Brick. This stripping down of traditional elements gave Brick a greater platform to express the more visceral feelings behind love and desire, his girlfriend, and the possibilities of human relations altogether. It did not make for a minimalist sound, however, as many viewers of his live shows would attest, Brick has consistently produced music with intensity, despite what melancholy threads are also heard.
