Aardvark Park shake 'n' rattle Red Light Café with a Friday night of lyrical Rock 'n' Roll featuring Daniel DeWitt, Jonathan Ray and Aubrey Mable.
Aardvark Park is a band of experienced musicians that play straightforward Americana Rock 'n' Roll. Comprised of singer / songwriters Gerren Fish and Garth Rivers sharing vocals and guitar, Rusty Townsen on drums, and Chris McConnell on bass, Aardvark Park's performances combine storied coffeehouse lyrics with a Barroom-Rattlin' Rock 'n' Roll sound.
Daniel DeWitt has been playing Rock 'n' Roll since 2002 — first with the sort-of grunge, sort-of blues rock band Winston Audio, and now on his own. His new album Stomach On The Growl is Pt. 1 of Phantom Memory: The Musical — an album in two parts.
Jonathan Ray, performing solo tonight, formed alternative / pop band Tall Bear in 2010. Drummer Christian Musgrove joined the band in mid-2011. Tall Bear was intended as a private musical project for Jonathan, meant for family and friends only, but with the joining of Christian, the two decided to bring the project out of the dark and record a full length record in the spring of 2012. The plan to record hit a few financial bumps in the road. But the band decided to place this recording project, in the hands of their family, friends, and fans. So the band began a kickstarter project in November to raise the remaining money needed to make the record happen. The fundraising was a success, and the guys immediately hit the studio and have been working to finish their first LP due for release in 2013.
