Living in a late stage capitalistic hellscape is hard. A lot of us are afraid. And angry. And artistically inclined. And so we've decided to pour those feelings into performance arts pieces that we hope, in sharing, will remind us that we aren't alone.
This show is for mature audiences only and will address a variety of important issues facing our performers, friends, and families such as racism, abortion rights, healthcare, income inequality, and more. While this is a burlesque show, we ask that anyone attending be aware that this show will not be prioritizing a sexual aesthetic or mood. Fringe arts like burlesque and drag are inherently political and their continued existence is not guaranteed.
For this reason, a portion of ticket sales will be donated to Georgia Equality, an organization committed to advancing fairness, safety, and opportunity for LGBTQ Georgians.

We’re always counting: the beats of a measure, the minutes to midnight, the moments in between. We live in those in-betweens - the breath before the first note, the pause between beats, the silence just after. Life is a numbers game: counting up, counting down, getting lost in the rhythm, finding meaning in the patterns, and uncovering the stillness and the frenzy where time seems to dissolve. With stripped-down performances and works by masters of musical precision like Stephen Sondheim, Jason Robert Brown, and William Finn, these songs and stories uncover the invisible structure of numbers beneath the chaos of emotion.

Destination Unknown - The raddest ‘80s new wave dance party bringing you your favorite retro futuristic anthems - returns to Red Light Cafe in Midtown!
If you just can’t get enough of the old new wave, join DJ Twitch and DJIT of TWIJIT, and party host extraordinaire MJ Lee, for "Destination Unknown", a deep dive into the glam trash, glossy deviance and fiercely flamboyant tracks that (re)defined ‘80s dance floors. Whether you’re a basket case or brain, a sporto, waistoid or dweebie, you’ll dance to the synthpop of the ruthlessly stylish New Romantics, the agitated disco-not-disco of post-punk and the beautiful misery of goth-rock.
Like, no duh, it’s gonna be so choice!

It’s a tale as old as time, song as old as rhyme… Acting Under the Influence is heading to the Beast’s castle! As we embark on a bar crawl through a poor provincial town, BE OUR GUEST and join us for a night of drinking and singing that promises to be enchanting! After all, no one drinks like Gaston!
Acting Under the Influence combines theatre and drinking (two of our most favorite activities) in a fun and safe environment for performers and audience members alike. The actors are encouraged to drink by tips from the audience. AUI productions have included cabarets, full-length plays, and many other boozy theatrical shenanigans.

Join us for the Atlanta Songwriters ClubMeet Up at Red Light Café every second Monday of the month! $5 at the door, starts at 8pm, and you can sign up to play a song if you'd like when you get here.
The Atlanta Songwriters Club is a bit like an open mic with a few key differences. This group exists for songwriter's who would like to interact with other songwriters. It is similar to an open mic, but with the added benefit of discussion. You can come and play a song or just watch and listen. If you'd like to play, you will tell us all if you are interested in receiving feedback on the song or not. If you are interested then after you play we will all discuss what we like about the song, and any suggestions we might have as a group. If you'd rather not have any feedback on the song then you will simply play the song for us. There's no cash prize, competition, or politics. Just songwriting discussions and hopefully new friendships.
If you're a songwriter looking to connect with other songwriters and get some dialogue happening, this group is for you! A club like this allows us to get to know other local songwriters, and learn from one another.
