Unfunny, Girl is a chaotic, campy, and questionably legal musical parody that shines a spotlight on the Funny Girl revival saga - because sometimes, the backstage drama is the real show. A hybrid of cabaret, fever dream, and spectacle well on its way to becoming a full-blown pop musical, the show features a parade of powerhouse Leas, a brigade of Beanies, and one lone Julie Benko navigating the casting circus that had theatre Twitter in a chokehold. Add in the Ghost of Barbra Streisand (because of course), a power-tripping producer, and two narrators just trying to make sense of it all - and you’ve got a night of Broadway’s messiest moments set to a killer playlist of 90s/2000s pop and iconic musical theatre anthems.
It’s part love letter, part roast, and entirely off-the-rails - a deep dive into diva showdowns, viral moments, and what it really means to be the greatest star. Expect Broadway easter eggs, belted accusations, unhinged directorial choices, and a plot that may or may not hold up in a court of law. All that, plus a whole lot of musical theatre justice for those who deserved better. Because in the end, isn’t Funny Girl really about who gets the last laugh?
From the chronically online mind of Ben Cole, and featuring the incredible talents of Sarah Ann Burke, Delaney Circe, Sarah Hack, Katie Hartel, Rachel Jarrard, Katie Jennison, Makallen Kelly, Erica Lloyd, London McKenna, Kayla Perry, Magda Roub, Golbanoo Setayesh, and Aliciona Strothers.

Join us for the Atlanta Songwriters ClubMeet Up at Red Light Café every second Monday of the month! $5 at the door, starts at 8pm, and you can sign up to play a song if you'd like when you get here.
The Atlanta Songwriters Club is a bit like an open mic with a few key differences. This group exists for songwriter's who would like to interact with other songwriters. It is similar to an open mic, but with the added benefit of discussion. You can come and play a song or just watch and listen. If you'd like to play, you will tell us all if you are interested in receiving feedback on the song or not. If you are interested then after you play we will all discuss what we like about the song, and any suggestions we might have as a group. If you'd rather not have any feedback on the song then you will simply play the song for us. There's no cash prize, competition, or politics. Just songwriting discussions and hopefully new friendships.
If you're a songwriter looking to connect with other songwriters and get some dialogue happening, this group is for you! A club like this allows us to get to know other local songwriters, and learn from one another.
