Red Light Café presents "The Return of ATL Horny Fest" featuring Sax Sabbath and Black Sheep Ensemble!
Sax Sabbath is a one-of-a-kind experiment paying tribute to the fathers of heavy metal. Without guitar. Without vocals. Instead, Kath Fidler takes on many of the infamous Ozzy lines with her mighty saxophones, while Allen Welty-Green channels Tony Iommi's monstrous riffs with his stack of keyboards. Holding it all down, we have the ever-so-versatile Rob Dwyer covering Geezer's thundering bass lines, and the inimitable Richie Torrance capturing all the frenetic subtlety of Bill Ward's drum parts.
Black Sheep Ensemble is a modern brass and percussion band whose performances are rooted in Second Line traditions but with a repertoire that blends Prohibition-era Swing, Jazz, Balkan, Latin, Ska, Punk and more! They bring a crowd to its feet as the the low brass belts out the bass line and the drums drive the rhythm. Untethered from electricity and amplification, the Sheep are free to roam, adding the element of surprise, They turn any event into a brassy celebration.
