We are everyday men and women. We struggle. We survive. We find hope amidst chaos. We piece words together. With all the negative stereotype images and talk, we all need something different.
In My Shoes is a storytelling event produced by Cathy Reinking that cuts through the day to day defenses and facades, to get to the soul of the human being inside. By giving you a glimpse of the world In My Shoes, we discover how close and connected we truly are. Join us in a heartfelt, joyous evening of diverse voices and ages.
This SPECIAL EDITION features the workshop / staged reading of a Brand New Play A MIDSUMMER NIGHT’S MAYHEM by Mary Browning Rodgers, featuring a select group of working actors here in Atlanta. You could say they are a band of actors, traipsing in the magical forest of Georgia, spreading merriment and laughter, in order to help the village (you, the audience) feel better, at least for an evening.
In addition to the play, you’ll be experiencing some stand-up, scenes from new works, and whatever our fearless leader (Cathy) conjures up for your enjoyment.
