We are everyday men and women. We struggle. We survive. We find hope amidst chaos. We piece words together. With all the negative stereotype images and talk, we all need something different.
OPENING ACT
“Family Time” written and performed by DOMINIQUE GRAY
Dominique Gray is a recent graduate of the National Conservatory of Dramatic Arts in DC, from which he excelled. Dominique is a true renaissance man: Actor, writer, performer, served in the military, achieved at academics. Originally from the south, he now lives in West Virginia, and is very excited to premiere a segment of his new one man show here at In My Shoes for an Atlanta audience.
MAIN EVENT
Cathy Reinking, who is the brainchild behind IN MY SHOES STORIES, will explain why and how she created IN MY SHOES STORIES. Then all audience members will be asked to participate in a writing WORKshop in which each person will begin the process of “Creating Your Own Content.” You’ll be shocked at what you can come up with in such a short amount of time. You’ll also be shocked at how, indeed, one can relate to other people’s stories no matter their age, class, background, heritage, dreams.
