Thursday Night Bluegrass sets a stage for many of the best bands in the metro area to perform and preserve this type of music. All these local bands play a little different style of music but all focus on Traditional roots. Good Medicine and the Reverend Jeff Mosier play a Greatful Dead influenced Blue Grass type music, while Steel Blue perform an energetic traditional sound. All of them have many years' experience and do it for the love of the music. The evening provides entertainment and education.

It all starts off at 7pm with open circle jam with some of the musicians who show up early, and to anyone eager jump in. The featured act goes on at 9pm and an all out jam picks up around 11pm with all sorts of special guests. It is only $5.00 ($3.00 if you bring an instrument) all are welcome and it's conveniently located, with plenty of parking, right next to Piedmont Park at the redlightcafe.com. All ages welcome.
